Volkswagen de México produces iconic models such as: Jetta, Tiguan Long Version and Taos. In 2024, Volkswagen de Mexico produced 382,312 vehicles. The engines plant in Silao started its operations in January 2013. This factory supplies the third generation of EA888 engines family and the EA211 engine to the Volkswagen Group plants in North America. The plant site has a total area of 60 hectares and it has a capacity of more than 2,500 engines per day. In January 2025, the Puebla Plant opened the first 100% electric paint shop within the Volkswagen Group, setting a benchmark in sustainable production.
