Golf VI Variant (2009–2013)

The Exclusive version of the Golf Variant is a luxury compact estate car. It features high-quality sports seats with excellent lateral support, seat heating, and two-tone leather upholstery. The interior design is available in red and black or brown and black. On the outside, a sports suspension and 225/45R17 wide tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels add dynamic accents. Exclusive lettering on the door sill trims underlines the high standards. Also on board: an extra-large glass sunroof and a sound system, storage compartments under the front seats, a leather steering wheel, a leather gear lever, and elaborately finished contrasting stitching. The Golf Variant Exclusive can be ordered with a choice of engines: it is available as a dynamic TSI with 122 or 160 PS or, alternatively, with the new, particularly economical common rail TDI engines with 105 or 140 PS.

With the BlueMotion Technology package, the VW Golf VI Variant is the most economical ever. The 1.6-litre TDI engine consumes just 4.2 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres. The fifth gear has an extra-long ratio, enabling marathon distances with minimal fuel consumption. A standard automatic start-stop system switches off the engine when the vehicle is stationary, thus avoiding unnecessary emissions. The engine can be restarted effortlessly by pressing the clutch.

The special "Style" model offers generous savings thanks to numerous extras. Exterior highlights include fog lights, style badges on the B-pillar, and tinted rear windows. Elegant chrome strips add a touch of class to the side windows, radiator grille slats, and fog lights. The special model also shines when it comes to the wheels: 16-inch "Estrada" aluminium rims complete the elegant appearance. In the interior, comfort seats with centre armrests in Austin Black Denim with Art Grey decorative stitching and tweed-style decorative inlays set the tone. Stainless steel pedals, style door sill trims, a multifunction leather steering wheel, cruise control, a winter package, Climatronic, and a light & vision package round off the generous overall package. An optional Style Plus package offers a glass sunroof and 17-inch aluminium wheels in the "Orlando" design.

An attractive exterior, plenty of flexibility, and a wide range of optional extras: the Golf Variant "Match" scores highly both inside and out. This is ensured by Stratford aluminium wheels in 6.5 J x 16 format with 205/55 R 16 tyres, fog lights, black-painted exterior mirror housings, door handles in the same colour as the car, tinted rear windows, aluminium door sill trims, and Match badges on the front side panels. The interior cuts a fine figure with height-adjustable comfort seats and black and grey or black, grey and red Victory upholstery. Also standard on board: RCD 310 sound system, multifunction leather steering wheel, leather gear knob and handbrake lever, silver and grey decorative stitching, "Honeycomb" decorative inlays, ParkPilot, "Plus" multifunction display, tyre pressure indicator, winter package, and net partition.

Continuous model refinement pays off. The Golf Variant enters the 2013 model year with attractive extras. The Business Premium Package with navigation makes business use even more comfortable, and a revised air conditioning system makes operation even easier. The sound systems now also feature a tuner with digital DAB+ radio reception. The optional "Atlanta" aluminium wheels shine in a high-gloss finish, and LED number plate lighting is standard when xenon headlights are fitted.
