World premiere at the IAA: with the ID. CROSS Concept, Volkswagen is presenting a compact SUV for affordable electric mobility
Volkswagen, the largest supplier of electric cars in Germany and Europe in 2025, will be presenting an electric compact SUV at IAA MOBILITY in Munich (8-14 September): the ID. CROSS Concept. It is just as suitable for the city as it is for long journeys. Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand, Head of the Brand Group Core and member of the Group Board of Management: "From the very beginning, my goal was to shape the best version of the Volkswagen brand of all time. The near-production concept car of the future ID. CROSS demonstrates that we are now truly delivering – with a new design, many technologies only seen in higher classes previously, improved operability and quality – and, at last, again the 'right' name. With this new Volkswagen generation, we are now delivering on our promises". -

The new T-Roc - World premiere
T-Roc improved in all areas. Volkswagen is presenting the world premiere of the brand-new generation of one of its most successful models: the new T-Roc. Last year alone, around 292,000 new car buyers opted for this all-rounder, making it the world’s most successful Volkswagen SUV after the Tiguan. The first generation of the best-seller was launched in 2017 before undergoing enhancements for model year 2022. For the successor now set to be premiered, Volkswagen has made improvements in every area. With new hybrid drive systems across the range, a brand-new and incredibly high-quality interior including next-generation Infotainment, cockpit and operating systems, more space in the interior and luggage compartment, and cutting-edge assistance systems, the T-Roc is a major step forwards in terms of development. And the new, clean and charismatic design complements this evolution perfectly. While the silhouette and roof area unmistakably reflect T-Roc DNA, the design team has reinterpreted the front and rear sections right down to the very last angle. The compact SUV – also known as a Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) due to its coupé-like rear end and passenger-car-style handling – radiates a charismatic independence with its expressive front end, while simultaneously showcasing the design versatility of Volkswagen’s new brand face. Pre-sales of the new T-Roc will start at the end of August in the first European countries; the market launch is scheduled for November. -
The new Tayron - Media Drive
All-round SUV with charisma. The new Tayron is an all-round SUV. With up to seven seats, an extra-large luggage compartment, front- or all-wheel drive and a very high level of safety, it is perfectly suited for larger families and any leisure adventure. At the same time, the comfortable Tayron impresses as an ideal company car. Robust all-terrain features on the exterior and high-quality materials in the interior ensure that it drives through the jungle of everyday life undamaged. As a mild hybrid (eTSI), it does this as often as possible with the turbocharged petrol engine deactivated. Thanks to electric recuperation, the vehicle then drives in silent and efficient coasting mode. As the plug-in hybrid (eHybrid) variant, the Tayron runs purely electrically for up to 126 km; together, the combination of electric drive motor and high-tech turbocharged petrol engine offer a range of more than 900 km for long journeys. Equipped with a turbodiesel (TDI) or turbocharged petrol engine (TSI) with all-wheel drive (4MOTION), the SUV also masters off-road stretches with confidence and can pull trailers weighing up to 2,500 kg. The all-rounder is positioned between the Touareg (premium class) and the Tiguan (mid-sized class). The Tayron is built where it was developed: in Wolfsburg.
