Volkswagen User-ID
In future, anyone driving a Volkswagen will receive a Volkswagen ID. This ID is an individual profile including the holder’s personal seat and climate control settings, favorite radio stations and songs, sound system settings, exterior sounds, the navigation system configuration, ambient lighting settings and the contact data of all friends and business partners. This profile can be called up in a secure way via a cloud.

In addition, the company is presenting the next milestones of intuitive user operation with its Volkswagen Digital Cockpit (3D), Eyetracking and AR Head-up Display. All of these features culminate in the ID., a vehicle concept for a new era. It combines the digitally connected world with an electrically powered car that can drive fully autonomous, if desired. This unifies the Volkswagen innovation fields of Connected Community, Intuitive Usability, Smart Sustainability and Automated Driving. -

Volkswagen is bringing a special APP to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (5th to 8th of January, 2017), with which show visitors can experience the future interactively – and is launching it in stores. It is now available for download in the App Store (iOS) and at Google Play (Android). Visitors can use the show app at the Volkswagen booth to immerse themselves in the future and experience how human, car and environment will, in the future, be intelligently interconnected in the Volkswagen Ecosystem via the Volkswagen User-ID. -
