This vehicle shows what R is capable of.
The Golf R has traditionally been the most powerful model of the compact bestselling car. It has all-wheel drive, is highly dynamic and offers especially exclusive design and equipment. And it’s no different this time around. As the first Volkswagen, the Golf R (235 KW /320 PS) comes with a new all-wheel drive system, 4MOTION with R-Performance Torque Vectoring. The system is intelligently integrated with the driving dynamics manager and enables a new dimension of sportiness – with powerful longitudinal and lateral acceleration. The character of the vehicle is further sharpened by the R-specific sports running gear, the high-performance brakes and the Special and Drift driving profiles (both optional). And those who want even more power and dynamics can choose the Golf R Performance with 245 kW (333 PS) and 19-inch wheels.
