How far can efficiency go?

Volkswagen is setting out to find the answer with a near-production concept vehicle.

As part of Mission Efficiency, a record-setting journey from Wolfsburg to Vienna will put the interplay of aerodynamics, energy efficiency and real-world electric mobility to the test.

The mission: to explore the boundaries of what is possible with a fully functional everyday vehicle that is largely based on production technology.

For now, we are keeping the details under wraps.

One thing is certain:

Mission Efficiency is underway.

More information about the project will be available from 14 September.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data does not refer to a single vehicle and is not part of the offer but is only intended for comparison between different types of vehicles. Additional equipment and accessories (additional components, tyre formats, etc.) can alter relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, affecting the vehicle's fuel consumption, power consumption, CO₂ emissions and driving performance values in addition to weather and traffic conditions and individual driving behavior.
