Three drive variants. The new ID. Tiguan will be launched on the market with a wide range of drive systems. The SUV comes with rear-wheel drive as standard; the 4MOTION electric all-wheel drive will be available as an option. The power spectrum will range from 140 kW (190 PS) to 220 kW (299 PS). The energy content of the battery covers a range from 58 kWh to 77 kWh.
Up to 165 kW DC charging capacity. The standard drive of the Trend, Life and Style equipment variants has a high-voltage battery with an energy content of 58 kWh (net) on board; in this case, the electric motor delivers an output of 140 kW (190 PS). Positioned above this is a rear-wheel drive version with 77-kWh battery (net) and 210 kW (286 PS) that offers a particularly long range. This drive system will be available as an option for the Life and Style specifications and will be standard for the ID. Tiguan R-Line. As the most powerful variant, the ID. Tiguan 4MOTION will also be optionally available in the Life, Style and R-Line versions with the 77-kWh (net) battery and an output of 220 kW (299 PS). All three variants charge with alternating current with up to 11 kW. At a DC rapid charging station, the 58-kWh version achieves a charging capacity of up to 105 kW, the 77-kWh versions up to 165kW. The 58-kWh battery will be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in approx. 26 minutes at full DC charging capacity, the 77-kWh battery in approx. 29 minutes.
Dynamic performance. The 140-kW (190 PS) base version of the ID. Tiguan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 160 km/h. With 210 kW (286 PS), the SUV completes the standard sprint in 6.7 seconds. Even faster is the 220-kW (299 PS) 4MOTION model, which passes the 100 km/h mark after 6.1 seconds. The two more powerful drive variants are designed for a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The WLTP range spectrum:the 58-kWh versions is up to 450 km, the corresponding value with the 77-kWh battery is up to 600 km. The all-wheel drive variant will have a range of up to 560 km.
Towing capacity of up to 2.0 tonnes. Thanks to its high towing capacity, the new ID. Tiguan is also suitable for use as a towing vehicle. On a gradient of twelve per cent, the 140-kW version can tow up to 1.8 tonnes. For the 210-kW rear-wheel drive version and the 220-kW all-wheel drive model, the maximum towing capacity is up to 2.0 tonnes.
