Exclusive Golf R 333 Limited Edition model: a highlight both inside and out
Curtain up for the Golf R 333 Limited Edition. The new special-edition model limited to 333 vehicles is based on the Golf R Performance and packs a real punch with an output of 333 PS (245 kW). The necessary driving stability and traction of the all-wheel-drive special-edition model are ensured by a host of high-quality equipment features such as R-Performance Torque Vectoring including Vehicle Dynamics Manager. The Golf R 333 comes from the factory with eye-catching Lime Yellow Metallic paintwork. Black accents additionally underline the appearance of the special-edition model, which is being launched as a potential collector’s item. The special edition can be ordered in German dealerships from Friday, 2 June. The vehicles will be delivered in October this year. -
New technologies, more comfort: Volkswagen presents the new Touareg
Volkswagen is upgrading the third generation of the Touareg with extensive improvements: the suspension as well as the display and operating concept of the full-size SUV have been revised, and the front and rear design have been sharpened. Particularly striking features are the newly developed HD matrix headlights at the front and the LED taillights, which are realised as a light strip. For the first time in Germany it incorporates a red-illuminated Volkswagen logo. Presales will begin tomorrow on Thursday, 25 May. Prices start from €69,200. -
Celebrating the birthday of an icon: Volkswagen presents limited-edition Polo GTI Edition 25
25 years of the Polo GTI! – To mark this anniversary, Volkswagen is launching the special-edition model Polo GTI Edition 25. It was in 1998 that the Polo first added those three iconic letters to its name: GTI. Now, a quarter of a century after the launch of the Polo III GTI, VW presents a limited edition of the current 152 kW (207 PS) Polo GTI. The powerful drive is impressive, but it’s not the only thing that stands out about this sporty compact car: with features including sports suspension, the electronic differential lock XDS, a comprehensive range of standard equipment and some special design highlights, the anniversary model is something special. The Polo GTI Edition 25 will be available to order in Germany from 1 June, priced at €35,205. -
First preview of the new ID.7 GTX: a long-distance limousine with more power and all-wheel drive
Three weeks ago, Volkswagen presented the new ID.7 as an all-electric limousine for the upper mid-size class. The most dynamic model variant will now follow in late summer with the world premiere of the ID.7 GTX. Equipped with the latest drive generation of the ID. models, the dual-motor all-wheel drive system and a host of sporty design elements, the long-distance limousine is a high-performance model. The launch of the new GTX model is planned for the IAA Mobility in Munich (5–10 September 2023). -
Volkswagen: Brand Group Volume doubles operating profit in first quarter 2023
The Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Volume further strengthened the close cooperation between the sister brands Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT/CUPRA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the first quarter of 2023. To take account of this successful development and the significance of the Brand Group Volume in the ongoing transformation of the Volkswagen Group, the four volume brands are publishing their key financial metrics for the first time in a Brand Group Volume quarterly report. -
New head of Quality Assurance at Volkswagen Passenger Cars
Effective as of May 1, 2023, Elvira Tölkes will take over as head of Quality Assurance at Volkswagen Passenger Cars. In this function, she will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Thomas Schäfer. Tölkes has more than 30 years of experience in product development, production and quality assurance in the automotive sector. She is coming from AUDI, where she was recently responsible for an interdisciplinary digital transformation project in procurement and IT. Her predecessor, Christiane Engel, will take up the post of Spokesperson of the Management Board and Managing Director of the Technology Division of Volkswagen Osnabrück. -
World premiere for the efficiency champion: Volkswagen ID.7 with a range of up to 700 km (WLTP)
Volkswagen now presents the new ID.7, the brand’s first global electric model for the upper mid-size class. The combination of ranges up to 700 kilometres (WLTP), superior powertrain, spacious interior and premium technologies makes the ID.7 a comfortable limousine for long distance travel and opens up a new segment for the ID. family. Almost five metres long, the model also has an enhanced customer-focused operating concept and a high-quality appearance. The ID.7 launch is planned for this year in Europe and China, and from 2024 in North America. -
The countdown has started: simultaneous ID.7 world premiere in Europe, China and North America on 17 April
The anticipation is building: this coming Monday, 17 April, the new ID.7 will simultaneously celebrate its world premiere in Europe, China and the USA. Almost five metres long and with a new efficient drive, long ranges and premium technologies, the ID.7 is positioned at the top end of the upper mid-size class. Following the new ID.3 and the compact ID. 2all concept vehicle, the comfortable limousine for long distance travel is the third electric vehicle presented by Volkswagen this year. They all belong to the total of ten new ID. models that Volkswagen will launch by 2026 – in Europe, as well as in other global regions such as the USA and China. -
New drive for the all-electric ID. family: more performance and higher efficiency
The next electric drive generation for the ID. family is now being launched. With the new APP550 rear-wheel drive, Volkswagen’s electric model family will receive a completely newly developed power unit. In future, this will offer higher performance combined with improved efficiency for the ID. models. The ID. family will therefore benefit both in terms of power and increased range. Volkswagen is planning to deliver the first vehicles with the new drive generation in a 210 kW (286 PS) version from the end of the year. -
Testing of new Volkswagen ID.7 almost complete
The countdown to the launch of the new ID.7 has started: the world premiere of the new all-electric ID. flagship model will take place on Monday, 17 April. Just under two weeks before this date, Volkswagen is now providing further details on the drive, running gear and convenience features of the saloon designed for long-distance driving. The new ID.7 will enhance the upper mid-size class in Europe, China and North America. Volkswagen plans to increase the share of its electric models to 80 per cent in Europe by 2030. The new ID.7 is an important milestone on this path, as it is scheduled to be launched in Europe before the end of 2023.
