The new ID.3 GTI - Media Workshop

New electric all-round sports car. For exactly 50 years, the three letters GTI have stood for a unique mixture of sportiness, coolness and understatement. At the beginning of the year, Volkswagen celebrated the GTI’s birthday with the anniversary model Golf GTI EDITION 50. In May, the world premiere of the first electric GTI followed with the ID. Polo GTI. Now Volkswagen is carrying the GTI feeling forward into the age of electric mobility with the new ID.3 GTI. And this GTI is also a true performance model that will seamlessly build on the legacy of its numerous predecessors with its drive dynamics and precise handling characteristics. What’s more, with an output of 240 kW (326 PS), the ID.3 GTI is the most powerful production GTI Volkswagen has ever built. The special technical features of the GTI include the newly designed GTI mode with Launch Control and a sharpened, electronically controlled sports chassis. The new Mission Efficiency - World premiere

Three world records. Volkswagen presents the world’s most efficient e-vehicle with the new Mission Efficiency. The concept vehicle has just set three world records. Record numberone: with a Cd value of 0.158, the concept vehicle glides through the air more aerodynamically than any other vehicle ever approved for road use. Record number two: consumption of 6.48 kWh/100 km during an ‘ideal trip’ where, amongst other things, the speed remains constant (in this case 68 km/h), there are no uphill gradients and auxiliary consumers such as the air conditioning system are deactivated. Record number three: thanks to its aerodynamics and a highly efficient electric drive, the Mission Efficiency is also the most economical near-production e-vehicle ever built.
