Dr. Andreas Krepp has worked in the Volkswagen Group for around 33 years. Across the Audi and Volkswagen brands, and in Europe, China, and the United States, he has gained extensive experience in development, production, and quality assurance. His professional foundation was an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at Audi. He studied mechanical engineering and earned a doctorate in behavioral sciences and work organization.
From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Andreas Krepp headed the specialist team in overall vehicle development for the Audi Q7 and was responsible for the production start of the model. He then took charge of quality assurance for purchased parts for the Volkswagen and Škoda brands in Kaluga.
In 2012, Krepp moved to China to the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen, where he initially led quality assurance in Foshan and, in 2017, was appointed President and Plant Manager in Qingdao. His next assignment took him to the United States, where he was responsible for quality assurance across the entire North American region.
Since August 2025, Dr. Andreas Krepp has been back in Wolfsburg and is responsible for quality assurance for the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand as well as the entire Brand Group Core, which includes Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, and SEAT / CUPRA.
Since January 2026, Dr. Andreas Krepp has also been responsible for quality assurance at the Volkswagen Group as Chief Quality Officer.
