Two duos from Wolfsburg: talented footballers, classic Beetles, and 90 minutes together. VfL Wolfsburg players Lukas and Felix Nmecha enjoy a match-length meeting with two special Beetle 1303 Cabriolets.

Classic “wolves”: the e-Beetle, based on a 1978 Volkswagen 1303 Cabriolet (left), and its younger brother, the 1979 Beetle 1303 Cabriolet, which has also been completely refurbished.
“May I?” – Of course. Ridle Baku spontaneously climbs into the e-Beetle: “Cool!” When told that the two Nmecha brothers are about to take them for a spin, a smile breaks out on his face – you have chosen the right people for the job, he grins.
Luca Waldschmidt also gets into the e-Beetle and is impressed. “I have never seen anything like it. However, I dream of owning my own classic.” Pointing at the original 1979 Beetle, he asks: “Do you mind?” Of course not. He has already arranged to meet up with Volkswagen Classic at the vehicle depot.
Other VfL players are also impressed. Maximilian Arnold is astonished that the Beetle is also available as an e-car. However, if forced to choose between the two Beetles, he would go classic.
