Volkswagen We
In future, Volkswagen will be bundling all digital services and apps on the Volkswagen We service platform. Firstly, this new mobility service matrix includes the well-known Volkswagen Car-Net, with its elements Security & Service (e.g. automatic emergency calls), Guide & Inform (e.g. online traffic information), e-Remote (calling up and controlling information and functions for electric and hybrid models) and App-Connect (Integration of various smart phone apps). Secondly, the range of Volkswagen We will be considerably extended by new online services and apps over the next few months and years. These will include the online parking system We Park which is already available in some German cities and allows users to pay parking fees without using cash via an app.

Volkswagen Group soon to have autonomous parking ready for series vehicles
Using what is to date unique technology, the Volkswagen Group is currently testing autonomous parking at Hamburg Airport: based on a car park map the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche vehicles navigate their way to a parking space on their own. Orientation is provided for them by simple pictorial markers installed in the multi-storey car park. Its advantage: this can be used in essentially any car park. The function is set to be available for the first customers in selected multi-storey car parks from the start of the next decade. -

Volkswagen and IBM today announced that they intend to develop digital mobility services together. Jürgen Stackmann, Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand responsible for Sales, says: "The objective of the agreement between Volkswagen and IBM, which has initially been concluded for a term of five years, is the development of personalized digital services for the driver, with a view to actively shaping the growing trend towards networking between vehicles and drivers."
