The new Virtus continues the Volkswagen brand’s realignment in South America. In technical terms, this compact sedan is related to the new Polo: it was developed especially for markets like Brazil. The fastback, with a length of 4.48 meters, is based on the modular transverse toolkit (MQB), which is one of the main reasons why it sets new standards in its segment in a variety of areas: these include highly advanced assistance systems, a digital cockpit (Active Info Display) and a high degree of connectivity (for example via App-Connect). Other features tailored to meet the needs of South American customers include the spacious interior, which can easily accommodate five adults plus luggage (cargo capacity 521 liters). The Virtus is produced at the Anchieta plant near São Paulo.
