Volkswagen is opening up a whole new dimension in its model range as pre-sales of the new T-Roc Cabriolet now get underway. The open-top variant of the successful crossover T-Roc embodies a concept that is unique in the compact class: the raised seating position of an SUV, a strikingly extrovert design and the open-air feel of a convertible. On top of this, the new T-Roc Cabriolet features the latest generation of infotainment. Enhanced comfort is ensured by numerous assistance systems, some of which are optional. Volkswagen enhances the range of special equipment for the T-Roc: the popular, compact SUV is now available to order with a particularly powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine generating 140 kW / 190 PS. Two new design packages are also available for the T-Roc: the “Black Style” equipment package lends the T-Roc more elegance, thanks to many black, contrasting elements; the optional “beats” package includes the first-class “beats” sound system and many highlights in red – on the inside and outside of the vehicle. -

With the T-Roc R, Volkswagen is now bringing the new top model from the successfully launched T-Roc product line onto the road. Volkswagen is set to present the T-Roc R, new top model for the successfully launched crossover product line, at the Geneva International Motor Show (7– 17 March 2019). Developed by Volkswagen R, this powerful vehicle boasts some impressive performance data: its four-cylinder TSI engine with 2.0 litre capacity and an output of 221 kW/300 PS as well as torque of 400 Nm. The standard combination with 7-gear DSG and 4Motion all-wheel drive ensures excellent acceleration without any loss of traction. The Volkswagen T-Roc R can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. -

Green light for a new cabriolet based on the T-Roc: within the framework of its major model offensive, the Volkswagen brand is launching its first convertible SUV. Volkswagen launches international marketing campaign for new T-Roc
Today, Volkswagen is launching the TV commercial for the introduction of the new T-Roc in Germany. The marketing campaign is to go on the air in a number of other European countries by the end of the year. This is a 360° campaign consisting of a TV spot, printed advertisements, digital promotion measures and posters. -
Polo and T-Roc attain top safety ratings 5 stars from Euro NCAP for the newest Volkswagen
The new Polo and T-Roc have attained the top rating of five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. The two latest Volkswagen models attain very good figures in all key test areas: ‘Adult Occupant', ‘Child Occupant', ‘Pedestrian' and ‘Safety Assist' (assistance systems). Dr Frank Welsch, Member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management responsible for Development: "Volkswagen has been democratising safety for decades now. The outstanding Euro NCAP ratings for the Polo and T-Roc demonstrate once again how we are making maximum safety available to the drivers of mini and compact models as well." The Polo is available at prices from 12,975 euros, and the T-Roc from 20,390 euros (prices for Germany). The base versions of both the Polo and the T-Roc are already well equipped with six airbags, ESC including counter steering assistance, the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System and the Front Assist area monitoring system with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring. The T-Roc also comes with the Lane Assist lane keeping system as standard. -

Starting today, the sporty and stylish new T-Roc is causing quite a stir in the compact class. The new, expressively styled crossover model from Volkswagen celebrated its world premiere three weeks ago and is now available to order. The entry-level model with a 1.0 TSI engine (85 kW/115 PS) is available starting at €20,390. -
Chancellor Merkel visits Volkswagen at the IAA: Powertrain concepts of the future presented
At the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt today, German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel was given a glimpse of the automotive future. "The automobile has its best days ahead of it. With the right concepts, Volkswagen will contribute to shaping the automobile of the future," said Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand. Over the next five years, the brand will be investing about €3.5 billion in the optimization of conventional diesel, gasoline and natural gas powertrains. During the same period, €6 billion will be invested in e-mobility. At the IAA, Volkswagen is exhibiting the current state of development with the latest models and presenting the electric future of mobility in the form of concept vehicles from the ID. model family. The first production ID. models will be on show at the IAA in 2019. -
IAA 2017: Volkswagen brand points the way to the automotive future
The Volkswagen brand is pointing the way to the future at its motor show appearance at this year's International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt: along with the world premiere of the new ID.CROZZ – a zero emission SUV that will go into production in 2020 – three other premieres will be featured: the new T-Roc, the new Polo GTI and the updated Golf Sportsvan. Volkswagen Group Night at the IAA 2017: Volkswagen brand presents the new ID. CROZZ
The countdown has begun for a breakthrough in electric mobility, and 2020 could represent the turning point. That is because the Volkswagen brand is accelerating into this new era by developing a new generation of innovative electric vehicles – the ID., ID. BUZZ and ID.CROZZ. Volkswagen and Zara Larsson launch cooperation
Volkswagen continues to develop its Garage Sound platform and is launching a one-year cooperation with Swedish Grammy winner Zara Larsson. Jürgen Stackmann, Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand responsible for Sales, says: "Music and Volkswagen have become a tradition. Our cooperation with Zara Larsson is a logical next step in taking our musical commitment, Volkswagen Garage Sound, to a new level."
