Respect, tolerance, diversity lived out – these are the objectives of the LGBTIQ* and friends network #WeDriveProud at Volkswagen. The communication platform looks out for the interests of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersexual, as well as queer people, and came into being in March 2019 as a Diversity Management initiative.
The network has 450 members, some of whom we will introduce here.
Sonja Eisenacher started her training as a tool mechanic in 2009. Her journey at Volkswagen’s Kassel plant then took her through maintenance of hot stamping to template building in Hall 2. She has been in charge of vocational training there since last year, but coronavirus has forced training activities to be put on hold in this department. She became aware of the #WeDriveProud-Netzwerk in 2020.
