The most versatile of all Propulsion Sources
On our way into the new age of mobility, electric drives are an important milestone. After all, they make it possible for us to drive silently, efficiently and emission-free. Particularly when batteries are charged at public solar-powered charging stations, with energy from wind power or CO2-neutral biomass.
Current models like the e-Golf or the e-up! are evidence that the battery and drive technology is ready for everyday use.
And the range argument should be put to rest when the new models based on the new platform for electric vehicles are introduced in 2020. Because the compact I.D., the I.D. CROZZ SUV and the I.D. BUZZ minivan will achieve a driving range of up to 600 kilometers on a single charge. And there will be plenty of charging points by 2020, possibly even inductive parking spaces, that don’t need plugs.
