The 24-hour race on the Green Hell of the Nürburgring always stirs up the full gamut of emotions. And the 2019 edition of the classic endurance race was no exception. Only the absence of freak weather made for a pretty unfamiliar scenario, with sunshine on both race days and no overnight rain. However, the competition was as fierce as ever on the 25.4-kilometre track as 155 vehicles in 24 classes vied for fastest laps and victories in the overall standings and various classifications. A team staffed entirely by women also took part in the ultimate long-distance challenge on the roller-coaster in the Eifel Mountains with a Golf GTI TCR.
