We are pleased that you would like to participate with questions during the “Volkswagen Live” webcast of Volkswagen AG, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, email@example.com, registered in the Commercial Register of the Braunschweig District Court under identification No.: HRB 100484 (“Volkswagen AG”). In the following information, we would like to inform you about the processing of your personal data by Volkswagen AG in connection with your participation in the “Volkswagen Live” webcast.
On the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show 2020, you have the opportunity to submit your question(s) on the subject of automotive and/or Volkswagen as a comment on a tweet published on the “Volkswagen News” Twitter account, after you have registered via your Twitter account. The editorial team at the show will select some of the submitted questions to be featured and answered during the “Volkswagen Live” webcast. For this purpose, the original text of your Twitter comment including your username will be displayed on Twitter during the webcast. Volkswagen experts will answer selected questions in the webcast verbally and/or via the comments function on Twitter. Volkswagen AG’s “Volkswagen Live” webcast will be available on Twitter as well as on the press website www.volkswagen-newsroom.com and/or via further social media channels (e.g. YouTube). The webcast will also be available as a recording, available for download, via the press website and the further social media channels offered.
B. Processing of your personal data
To answer your question(s) during the “Volkswagen Live” webcast and to record and publish it, we only process the question(s) themselves and your Twitter username. The processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f DSGVO due to our justified interest in comprehensive, transparent reporting on the Geneva Motor Show and the topics and products presented by Volkswagen AG. As an IT service provider, ComSat Media GmbH, Heusenstamm, provides the technical platform for streaming the webcast. A corresponding contract has been concluded. The recording of the “Volkswagen Live” webcast will be deleted after 24 months at the latest.
By submitting your question via the comments function on the “Volkswagen News” Twitter account, Volkswagen AG has no influence on the data collection and processing through Twitter. The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Twitter as well as your rights and settings options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the data protection statements of the social media provider.
You can exercise your following rights against Volkswagen AG at any time and free of charge. For further information on exercising your rights, please refer to section C.
C. Your rights
Right to information: You have the right to receive information from us (Art. 15 DSGVO) about the processing of your personal data.
Right of rectification: You have the right to ask us to correct (Art. 16 DSGVO) incorrect or incomplete personal data concerning you.
Right to delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your data if the conditions mentioned in Art. 17 DSGVO are met. You can then, for example, request the deleting of your data if they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. You can also request to delete your data if we process your data on the basis of your consent and you revoke this consent.
Right to limit the execution of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data if the conditions of art. 18 DSGVO are met. This is the case, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your data. You can then demand the restriction of processing for the duration of the verification of the accuracy of the data.
