In September 2015, the second generation of the Tiguan celebrated its world premiere at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. It impresses with its completely new and elegant design that radiates power and authority. Compared with its predecessor, the new Tiguan has a longer (+6 cm), broader (+3 cm) and flatter (-3 cm) appearance. Not least among the factors responsible for the implementation of these new dimensions is the use of the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB). The result is an unmistakeable SUV profile with distinctive proportions and a very dynamic design. At the front, the unit of radiator grille and LED projection headlights (fitted as standard in the Highline equipment option) additionally underscores the powerfully upright overall impression.
