Passat GTE Variant

Electric in the city, rapid progress on the open road.
The Passat GTE Variant is an all-round talent for city, country roads and motorways. The 10.4 kWh battery (net value) under the luggage compartment permits a purely electric range of up to 57 kilometres (WLTP) – with zero local CO2 emissions and practically silent when driving in E-MODE. Together, the 1.4 TSI engine and the electric drive motor deliver a system power of 160 kW (218 PS) and allow the plug-in hybrid model to effortlessly cover even long distances. The Passat GTE Variant makes full use of all the possibilities offered by its technical concept, with recuperation or coasting when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator, a choice of several driving modes and a highly intelligent drive strategy.

Beach, water, crowning treetops in front of a blue sky – that’s just part of a perfect summer. Whether the beach is by the sea or by a lake is not important. Because whoever spends their holiday in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania gets both. And many of the most beautiful tree-lined avenues in Germany as well. The actress Nadja Uhl loves it here. Even camping! On her journey with the Passat GTE Variant including roof tent, she shows the most beautiful places on the German Avenue Route between Rheinsberg and Stralsund (her birthplace), following in the footsteps of her childhood – on the Baltic Sea.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data are determined in accordance with the measurement procedures prescribed by law. 1 January 2022, the WLTP test cycle completely replaced the NEDC test cycle and therefore no NEDC values are available for new type approved vehicles after that date.

This information does not refer to a single vehicle and is not part of the offer but is only intended for comparison between different types of vehicles. Additional equipment and accessories (additional components, tyre formats, etc.) can alter relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, affecting the vehicle's fuel consumption, power consumption, CO2 emissions and driving performance values in addition to weather and traffic conditions and individual driving behavior.

Due to more realistic testing conditions, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured according to WLTP will in many cases be higher than the values measured according to NEDC. As a result, the taxation of vehicles may change accordingly as of 1 September 2018. For further information on the differences between WLTP and NEDC, please visit www.volkswagen.de/wltp.
